I thought we should gave gotten him as well. He would have been a perfect scat back, kinda like how we use Holliday but a better rusher as well as receiver. He would have been great on trick plays but just as effective on more standard plays. A Skyler Green type player but with rushing ability.
That's ok. We can't have 'em all. Besides, CLM and co are being very "selective", I've read, with whom they offer the remaining schollies to. We're already at 23 or 24 commits, with strong interest from other solid recruits. :crystal::champs::crystal::champs::crystal:
I think this year was just not in the numbers for us to pick up a player like Nelson. Any other year and we probably go after this kid.
I really like Nelson and I wish we had room for him. I will have to keep an eye out form him at Purdue. Purdue has started recruiting the south really hard...guess they are getting ahead of the Big 10 curve.
he's another LA Recruit & recruit that can play multple positions that I wanted the other being Mackey. He reminds me of Maurice Jones-Drew best of luck to him.
