It could also happen the other way around. There's definitely girls that go out of their way to get with the star athlete, either for the attention or the future money. Kinda like the Varsity Blues where the blonde will only date the quarterback. I wouldn't think that is the case here.

which is also the same reason i said earlier she would have been afraid to report it also. fear and indimidation does not have to be physical. it could have been given the size difference or fighting back could have turned the situation into physical harm. i dont know what happened. im saying its possible.

As many have pointed out, at this point it is just allegations and a he said she said thing. Does Miles take the word of this kid and sign him anyway, or does Miles pass thinking that there is just too much risk in moving forward?
Maybe in some places. As a school teacher, I can tell you 14 to 18 the differences depend largely on the person. I've taught 14 year olds which were FAR MORE MATURE than some 18 year olds. ESPECIALLY Girls. Look at your communities and see what environments are forcing upon our children. Legal age means very little to these children, even more so when it comes to the things they have to do at home. Most of these "children" are also taking care of their brothers / sisters or their houses. In a utopian world, yes the difference between 14 and 18 would be huge. But we don't live in a utopian society and children are constantly being forced to "grow up faster". No this is not the right thing to do, and not this doesn't usually produce the best citizens. Children should be allowed to be children. Sadly that isn't how society is right now. Not that I'm at all defending this young person's actions. They were completely and entirely WRONG; This truly is a SAD situation. Sad for the girl, and sad for the boy that he's thrown away his life because of bad judgement. he should have known better, but I wonder if anyone actually ever cared to take the time to explain to him.
