Well no, because when we agreed to have a child my marriage quickly become a porn movie. But as soon as the goods were delivered, we returned to our regularly scheduled programming. I think you're a bit naive, TT. This is a grown man, an athlete doing workouts, and apparently kind of a bully. You must understand how intimidating a threat this is to women, much less a 14-year old girl. She is frightened about being beaten up badly. There are two results from a girl taking an action like you suggest. One is that an embarrassed male howls in pain and runs away. The more likely is that an enraged male beats the living crap out of her, possibly even killing her. It happens all the time. Unless it turns out to be an outright lie, I do NOT fault the girl under any circumstances to try to save herself a beating or possibly her life. As humiliating as rape was, it wasn't going to kill her. A large angry male could very well do so. We simply cannot blame women for failing to fight back. Ever.
Very good point. Yes I agree 100% which is why I believe this is uglier than I think we can imagine. I am with you as a father of a daughter I can never find fault in a women in these cases. And having dealt with this in my family I know how this can effect an entire family. Not just the victim. To me rape and sexual crimes are the most heinous and vicious. Hence i could never be a cop, Again maybe not fair but just my own reality....
Who ever said that? I have no idea what point you are trying to make. There were lots of underaged people of both genders in Louisiana bars when the legal age was 18. The bigger and more mature teenagers started "passing" at bars and liquor stores when we were 16.
THANK YOU! do not EVER underestimate fear and imtimidation on a female. yes, some times we will fight back, but often the fear of being greatly on the losing end and facing even more harm if fighting will cause us to submit. the instinct of preserving ones self from greater harm is very powerful. and fear and intimidation can last longer than the physical act, simply because of the emotional consequences.
I am curious if a school like Redemtorist or any parochial schools ingrain into these kids minds about the legal implications of underage sex? or do they just warn the kids about the dangers of STD. I think the girl involved is not innocent, nor is Jeremy smart enough to know the serious consequences. Unfortunately, these kinds of things is too prevalent in highschool; it is a matter of who gets caught. Being a high profile recruit makes it a more risky endeavor with higher stakes, like a politician. It is a sad situation, and a potentially wasted future, like the Diesel, and the Perilleoux.
I'm only assuming, but I would think the girl was "scared" into the act. Retaliation is not out of the question, but he was in a social position of power at the very least, as the star athlete at her school. She could've been scared not to perform. As a teacher, I've seen situations just like this occur.
