Some of you guys scare me. You are so quick to convict two young men (Pedophile? Really - C'mon man!) for getting a blow job. Who among us as a young man would pass up a blow job? And don't give me that BS about being 18. They're both in high school. When I was in high school and even at LSU I dated and had sex with girls who were younger than me as most guys do. I'm no pervert or sexual predator or pedophile - I am a red blooded male. And before anyone gives me crap, yes I do have a teenage daughter. Last time I check women have urges and desires too. This whole case reeks of parents trying to save the family and daughter's reputation. Look at the case - oral sexual battery which means there was consent of all parties, not sexual assault or rape. It took over a month after the alleged event took place for the two boys to be arrested and charged. Obviously, there must be a lack of evidence because if there was some video evidence I believe Redemptorist would have turned it over to the authorities immediately. Unless Hill and the other young man admitted to this event I honestly believe the charges will be dropped. And even if they have admitted to the alleged event, I believe the charges will be downgraded to something of a misdemeanor. Why ruin people's lives? If there is a crime, then make the punishment fit accordingly. Some of you really are quick to judge and convict someone for allegations. Just because someone is arrested doesn't immediately mean they are guilty. Wow, I'm glad I live in the US and are innocent until proven guilty. Some of you obviously desire the opposite.
Like I said, it's one thing to get brains from a 14 year old, it's another thing for you and a friend to force that 14 year old to give you brains. I don't know if she is just some disgruntled teen, or maybe someone who had a crush on Jeremy, and Jeremy didn't reciprocate, whatever the case may be they will have their day in court.
Innocent until proven guilty, once they have their day in court, and they are found to be guilty. I say throw them under the jail. I would not want many of you on my jury if accused of a crime btw...
The charge doesn't fit force. If the issue were force there'd be a rape or assault charge tacked on or in place of the oral sexual battery charge. This sounds like coercion based on the charge.
This will probably end up as a he said she said, unless there were witnesses. Sadly it is very hard for victims to get justice. Had a friend whose daughter got assaulted, but she didn't tell anyone for a while, so no physical evidence. And there were no witnesses.
I don't care how talented the kid is or how relatively innocent or "consensual" this might have been. There are far too many football players around to have this kid be allowed to represent LSU. That might be terribly unfair to the whole "innocent until proven guilty" premise, but LSU should completely disassociate with this kid. This is a PR nightmare and LSU has their reputation to protect. Let another school give him his break. He can still play football somewhere, just not at LSU. End of story.
this. he could be completely innocent, or the girl could have been afraid to come forward sooner, or was pressured to keep her mouth shut.
I trust Miles to make the right call. I am sure he will get the low down the charges. To convict the kid now, when there is almost no information beyond an arrest. That is crazy.
