Both Rookie of the Year finalists. Others are Mike Evans, Sammy Watkins and Teddy Bridgewater whose appearance on this list is a snub to Jarvis Landry.
Bridgewater definitely belongs as a finalist. Played in only 12 1/2 games and still almost threw for 3000 yards. An 85.2 QB rating is excellent as a first year rookie season starter (very few have ever topped that). Add to that a very respectable 6-6 record as a starter on a pretty poor Vikings team. Only bombed in 2 games and that was against Detroit and a Buffalo road game.
All the rookies mentioned are deserving. I can't honestly see though how anyone other than OBJ get the award. Hill will probably be second. I love Landry but he was not snubbed. This is an exceptional rookie class. Unfortunately for him he is used as a safety valve so his avg per catch was down. Any other year and no doubt he is a finalist.
Landry finished 2nd for rookie receivers in receptions behind OBJ, ahead of Sammy Watkins and Mike Evans and tied for 17th overall in the entire league. He also returned punts and kick offs. You'll never be able to convince me Sammy Watkins a dude who Doug Marrone got pissed about picking, and Mike Evans or Bridgewater are more deserving.
