Per ESPN, Hill will be visiting Bama and FSU and Landry is open to anyone. Did something happen for both of these guys to soften at the same time?
I would consider the source (it's a Bama ESPN affiliate) and I would consider these fella's age (not even seniors yet). I don't know why Hill wouldn't be at LSU's Jr. Day - that one does make me wonder. But I think both of these dudes are all LSU at the end of the day.
Exactly why I never get excited about anything any more. Not knocking these kids but they are 17 years old. They cannot commit to what they are doing on the weekend let alone a year from now. I think its great they are considering us, but at this point that is all it is. It happens every year. Kids committed to some school then start looking and switch again. Not suggesting that is what these guys will do. But I just have learned never to get to excited about early commits. even more so if they are out of state.
If I were a 17 year old kid who may have never left my small Louisiana town, I'd want to take my visits so I could be treated like a king while getting out of town for a weekend to see new places. Don't worry -- be happy! :geaux:
another writer called hill and im guessing he gave the information to the bama site. most thought this would happen with hill. considering it is february i really dont care. actually i probably wouldnt care if its 10 months from now and this is happening. i dont know what landrys story is.
Nothing to worry about for both. Both said when they committed they would take visits to see other campuses. I expect every one of our commits to take visits. We took their commits knowing they would take visits and it is expected with guys committed this early. Hill even gave a few quotes on Scout that should settle any nerves. As for committed prospects and Junior Day. Most of our commitments have already been given the tour multiple times since last year's camps and our mini Junior day earlier this year. Really no point in coming to see the same tour especially the 1st one. The 2nd Junior Day will be bigger.
I have never blamed a kid for taking all his visits, but they should not commit until they have done so.
I agree in one sense but I hope our commits go to camps across the country and get the exposure and teachings they need to bump up their rankings.
I understand maybe going from a solid verbal to a soft verbal like Hill supposedly did but Landry said he was now open to anyone. Is it just me or does it sound like he is now closer to not being even a verbal and someone that will have to be looked at as going OOS.
