I bet he perjures himself and ends up being convicted of Perjury....Assault and Battery on a woman...Leaving the scene of a crime....violating restraining orders, etc.

And I'm sure coupled with prior drug arrests...he'll get a dishonorable discharge from the Marines...and will end up sleeping on his parents sofa for a long time.

I'm still wondering, if he was the one who threw the first punch, why hasn't he been arrested for battery as well, and considering what the fight turned into... A possible inciting a riot charge could work as well.

Personally, I think we can do alot better than JJ. However, that in no way, shape, or form means I would want him to go to jail in order to accomplish that. I don't recall anyone else suggesting that either. Not wanting him as our starting QB =/= wanting his life turned upside down.

I suspect they are pursuing battery charges only on the felony counts. if they start arresting people for simple battery, they will have to arrest everyone involved in the fight . . . all four "victims" and who knows how many football players. I bet the police don't want any part of that hard-to-prosecute BS.

i dont see anyone elated outside of a couple of the mental ward regulars. A very low percentage and I wouldnt really classify it as elation. The others are simply pointing out the talent difference may actually increase due to the change. In the passing game that is.

If you cant replace 4 tds and 9 picks then there's no hope for the season anyhow. And many of JJs sacks were due to indecisiveness.

I am in the camp that stability at the position trumped a qb change but lets be real. Its possible we are upgrading. People are simply trying to find positives in the situation and moving forward. No need wondering what would have been at this point.

Jefferson was not our focal point on offense. Actually we had no focal point on offense nor any identity for basically 3 years. A large part of that falls at the starting qb and not just the ex-OC.

    Maybe this will now improve.

he wasnt going to be drafted at any position. Jefferson was average even at his best. Thats just the reality of it.

Although I still would feel 100% better heading into game 1 knowing the dude who's taken most of the snaps the last 3 years was still behind center.

The Grand Jury hears what the DA wants them to hear. They see the evidence that the DA wants them to see. You can be assured there will be no exculpatory evidence submitted. The DA controls the entire show.

True, but you'd think the reports from the Bars manager, would be enough to charge Lowery too, since the punch he threw started it all. Charge both JJs if you want to, but charge the instigator as well. At least IMO, it would show no one was receiving special treatment.
