Not sure about Johns, but we all know JJ has no prior criminal history, doubt Johns does either... Both will end up with reduced charges, I don't see Fisher not getting this plead out. They'll be back on the team... At what point in the season they return is unclear, but they'll be back.
Fisher will start doing his thing, and bringing in the bar employees, and the "victims" credibility/violent past will be their saving grace.

Was just reported on ESPN both have been released on $5000 bond. Not sure how accurate the report is, but if true I'd say the DA screwed the pooch on it, since bond has been set...

I honestly think their mentality is to cut slack to LSU players, if anything. I think that they were pressured by some "Higher Up" outside the department as well as by national media scrutiny.

I think that they really wanted to get out of this distracting mess by making an arrest and handing off the investigation to the DA's office so they can get back to real police work.

So now let the depositions begin !! Fischer will be deposing everyone and everybody. The police didn't want to talk to the witnesses to to secure the arrest. I mean, think about it, the last thing they probably wanted to do was prolong the investigation by talking to every one and their grandma. The police realize, more than anybody, that all those eye witnesses can testify in court as sworn witnesses.

They also probably realize that they didn't want to waste their time on a stupid bar fight. Let someone else do all that investigative work.

If this case ever gets to trial, I bet you that Jeferson and Johns are acquitted.

I feel sick for JJ, but if the Lowery's have cash, JJ will ultimately get justice when it's all said and done.

I want to know who Lowery's dad knows...who is the "Higher Up"

The Grand Jury will do whatever the DA wants them to do.

I hope Lowery ends up having to relocate, or be shadowed by a protective detail.

Red, do you think JJ could make it in the NFL as a tight end or WR or RB?

I would use this time to train for a position switch if so, Maybe he would have wasted his time playing QB this year. I bet he could improve his draft status if he trained intensely now...whatever position he's best suited for.

    If he gives a chit. If he doesn't . . . it's a way to punt politically.

Jefferson could add 30 pounds and be a protoype NFL tight end . . . if he can catch.
