Here is the thing, no way would I want to see Lee replace JJ. As mentioned Lee had a much better OL last year, with a great running game. JJ has had mediocre OL play with little to no running game. HUGE advantage Lee. Yet he still constantly threw way too many INTs. Often at crucial moments for a pick six to make it worse. While the O is a bit stifled JJ still isnt turning the ball over, although he has lucked out a few times. Still in all, he isnt a back breaker that Lee was. So Ill take JJ any day over Lee. Thats why last year no matter how much JJ wasnt ready he should have been put in much sooner for Lee. I think Lee should get a few possesions just to go deeper and see what happens. By no means is it time for a change unless Lee is night and day from last year.

This isnt at all bashing Lee, I dont blame him at all for the losses. The coaches put the players in the game, thats on them. I think its sad how some fans treated him last year.

LOL... it's still a foreign concept to me, but you're right.

    Florida, then?

BTW, both of those teams are going to score a lot of points this year...but then there's South Carolina...

I have a feeling that Lee would not have more than two interceptions if he was managing the game like Jefferson is right now.

At some point we're going to need a vertical passing game. There are only 22 five star receivers to choose from.

    So what is your point?
It should be Lee right now?

JJ is lucky to not have more interceptions. He'll end up having his fair share this season. And Lee's problem last year with interceptions was due staring down WR's - hopefully, this has been fixed.

JJ brings a lot of intangibles to the QB position, but his accuracy (even on short throws) is not where it needs to be.

No, but if Jefferson cant eventually stretch the field its going to have to be someone else. And you can bring up the interceptions, but Jefferson still isnt being asked to make the same throws, so it is a moot point. Im all for Jefferson and I think he is going to be a good QB, btw. But throwing the deep ball is one of the easiest throws for a young QB -- and that kind of worries me.

How is it a moot point? this is what I mean when I say peoples memories are very short. Im not being a smart azz, but maybe you should go back and watch the Auburn, Georgia, and Florida games last year. Those throws where the same throws Jefferson is making right now. Which 2 at Georgia where a linebacker picked off very short passes, then at Florida where a "Linebacker" picked off a short to intermediate pass and at Auburn where a Dlineman, picked off a screen pass for a touchdown.
That is 5 of 16 interceptions right there. So how it is a moot point again?

A better offensive line, but not waaaay better. Jefferson hasn't
t been sacked all that much. The running backs haven't changed and since Lee is not a runner and Jefferson is, I'd say that Jefferson has had a better running game at his disposal.

And I haven't called for Jefferson to be replaced. Just reminded people that Jefferson is not our only experienced quarterback and that he may not have the best passing game.
