Who would you want leading your offense? Jordan Jefferson, or Terrell Pryor? Pryor has more experience, and was heavily recruited, but at this point i am taking Jefferson. Jefferson does not turn the ball over, Pryor does. Jefferson has shown he can make plays with his arm, Pryor hasn't. Jefferson is really very accurate throwing while running to the right, he hits receivers in stride when he rolls out, Pryor not so much. Pryor is a better running quarterback, but Jefferson is not too shabby. Both are still a work in progress, but i am still taking Jordan Jefferson.
Mayeb Talent Wise Pryor but after the "Everyone Murders" stuff from a representative of our university, I will take Jefferson.
Jefferson and it aint close. Pryor is a better runner, but he is very uncomfortable throwing the ball, his mechanics are really bad as well.
JJ. I don't want a super star at QB, I want a leader. I want someone who doesn't make stupid mistakes and can manage the game, someone the rest of the team has confidence in, someone who doesn't fold under pressure but responds positively to it. I see JJ as being in that mold of QB, and I'll take him over Pryor any day. We have plenty of other super stars on the field. Now we just need someone solid to manage them, and if JJ can do that, I think the offense will be in good hands.
I would take Jefferson as well. He plays with great poise and throws an accurate bullet on short and midrange passes. He's a very good runner. Being fast like Pryor is great but when playing a great defense, wont' help much at all. You just need to be agile enough to get the 1st down, anything else is a plus. Pryor is great for his age but I do question his passing mechanics as well.
From the little that I have seen, I'll take Jefferson. Pryor appeared to go brain dead on the last drive in the OS-SC game. Even with his lack of experience, JJ is pretty cool under pressure.
You know, i think i am starting to understand why Miles and staff have kept Jefferson close to the vest. They are developing this kid. They are giving him the best opportunity to succeed. I don't think the same can be said for Pryor. I think they have just thrown him in there and really aren't coaching him up very well. Its only going to hurt Pryor in the long run, and i will venture to say that by the time both of these guys are Seniors, Jordan Jefferson will be looked at as a potential NFL quarterback before Terrell Pryor will be.
Both need major work, Pryor has more nature ability IMHO. My gut is telling me you will see Lee in there either this year or next based on either injury or performance. Until a see I few games where JJ is throwing constantly from the pocket I remain suspect, he has only had 4 starts so we will see. The freshman kid from Michigan looks really good from the pocket or rollouts, of course they were playing ND.
