i think he just means the leadership stuff which I think he made up all in his head. and the fact he would go really late if at all and overlooked. rohan= pure greatness.
thats why i brought him up to caddy. same things were said about campbell for 4 yrs at AU even as he had a great senior season. they are comparable and built very similar. hell they might be identical size-wise. JJ is more of a runner while campbell learned to read a defense and throw the ball in seemingly his final season. and his windup is not longer than juan marichals like JJs is.
Not saying jeff throws the ball like Tom just saying no one gave him a snowballs chance in hell to play in the NFL as you are saying with Jefferson. That being said he will get a shot you just watch and see. You will eat your words you all will.
I think how well JJ does in these two final games will factor heavily in whether an NFL team takes a chance with a draft pick on him. He's got the measurables and will perform well at the combine. He received a lot of praise from NFL scouts during the Manning camp a few months ago. I honestly believe he would've put up solid stats this year if he had played a full year (although I'm even more ecstatic that Lee was forced to contribute so well). I'm not sure if he'll make it as an NFL QB but I'll be rooting for him, especially given the treatment he's received from our fans.
Don't know what game you were watching but JL was toast after the first play (not interception) Hightower blasted him and JL got the deer in the headlights look. Yes the snap was bad on the first int but JL just picked it up and threw it with out looking. On the second he threw it much too quickly. The receiver (Peterson I think) was open if the pass had gone to the correct spot to the outside and down field. JJ's pass was so far off the mark (3-4 yds inside) that you would have blasted JJ for throwing. What did JJ do? barely enough. 1) Pass to Shep set up FG. It was not a great throw had it been Shep may have scored. 2) ran the option well enough to wear Bama's D down so they were toast in OT. One thing JJ doesn't do is panic. He has the on the field inner strength that JL seems to lack. JL is brave, probably braver than most for fighting through the last years struggles. But that strength appears to abandon him when pressured. He folds up. He can't control it and is IMO a hero in how he continues in spite of it. Like JLs "panic" doesn't mean he is a coward JJs lack of ability to make a decision doesn't mean he is stupid. Like any other talent, quick recognition and delivery are not evenly distrubuted and have no relation to inate intelligence. I doubt Einstein could have made quick decisions as QB but he wasn't stupid. Brady, Breeze, Luck Scam et al are outliers 1 in 10,000,000 or greater. So are JJ & JL just 1 in 1,000,000 or so. Don't extend one fault to cover general capability in either QB. Both are limited and doing their best and should be honored for that. Criticism need not be mean spirited as it has been in many of these threads.
Before this season he was actually (from LSUSports.net) These stats don't take into consideration number of years/games but still.
