Now that Tbow is bringing back the run game in the pros and winning you better think somebody gonna take a shot on Jefferson. I say if he is there in the third Rd you grab him. All he has done at LSU is win. Stats aside he has a nice winning resume. Maybe a bit of a hot head off the field but with the right coach can keep him in check. Everyone thinks Mtbgr will be a pro and Jefferson beat him out this year. Jefferson will make a nice backup, conservative runs pass when you need it he may be the next Doug Williams although Doug was a nice passer I'm sure Jefferson can learn! He will be missed at LSU! he reminds me some of randall cunningham who could pass and run but had a slow delivery/windup. but RC had a lot more touch and arm strength. JJ would have a chance if his delivery could be corrected but it cant. its so slow he would get destroyed with the speed of the nfl. he has improved his option reads somewhat but its still not pretty. look for him to be a free agent signee as a wide receiver. or sign with denver and play qb with tebow in the wildcat.
I wonder when a NFL team tries to do it, these running style quarterbacks need to team up and play on a single team. The QB position like the RB position. Imagine Tebow and Cam Netwon spiting reps... I think it could work in the NFL under a different model for the QB position, i.e. less money. The problem is always going to be get pro style quarterbacks to fit in to a team like that. Currently the runners are forced into the pro style, and if they can't fit into that role its change positions or not play football.

Lsu wins because of special teams play and defense. Noone can really be this stupid, huh? With all the great qb's playing now that can go in the draft do you really think jj gets drafted as a qb? I could see that! Although he hasn't ever hauled in a pass in his life he is tall and fast can break a grab, knows routs, you never know.

Ha ha. I like Jefferson for his perseverance but he is by far one of the worst QB's we have ever had but the kid has fought through so much, he gets booed by his own fans etc, and until that stupid night where he got into a fight has conducted himself with class through it all. However he has 2 more games of football to play in his life. After that he better make sure that LSU degree is in tip top shape. I guess there is always Arena football. But no there is NO chance he ever plays a down in the NFL..... I still wish him the best, he is and forever will be one of us. An LSU Tiger

But you made our point. Tebow is considered a really bad NFL QB.... Although he is winning but the defense has much to do with that. Tebow is 10x better than Jefferson, heck Tebow is a 2 time national champion and Heisman winner. If Tebow is very below average in the NFL as a running QB below average passer imagine what Jefferson would be like. Can you imagine JJ standing back there bouncing up and down because his primary rec. was covered and he panics and runs. Ray Lewis would take his head off. No Jeffersons football career is coming to an end in the next two games. He may get a try out here or there but he will not make it past first cut.
