in my opinion is the best coach in the NFL, and it really isn't even close.

In the AFC, he has a team that has an average QB, an average RB, maybe 1 WR that deserves to be in the NFL at all, a decent TE and has them up 6-0 in the playoffs on the road.

Considering they are in the best divisions in the NFL, a team with their talent doesn't belong, but yet, they still hang on as long as they can.

I really, really like Jeff and I find myself cheering for his team.

Oh, heck. Norv Turner was an assistant coach under John McKay and Jeff Fischer played for him then. Either way is good for me.

So that makes him Brian Billick sans a Super Bowl ring, but with a job.

well they lost today, but let's be real... they shouldn't have won.

it shouldn't have even been close.

there is no one in the NFL that does more with less.

    Good example.

On paper, who do you like... Saints or Titans?

I also think Fisher is one of the elite in the NFL coaching ranks.

He does get the most out of middle of the road talent.

This team should have been 4-12 the past 2 years.

Ahhh but his most brilliant coaching decision is yet to be made. That will come the day he hands Mr. Young a jersey with the #88 on it. Like he should have done the day he drafted him. The kid is an exceptional football player and has many many skills, not trying to take that away. Unfortuantely I don't think they are best served playing the quarterback position. Give him the ball in space and he would be damn near untouchable. Dice this up as you see fit but the guy just ins't a QB. IMHO

ive always thought he was a top 5 coach in the nfl and was shocked when they discussed firing him 2 yrs ago.

Do you remember when they gutted their entire team about 4 years ago or so? a shell is what now remains yet they are still among the most competitive.

i had hoped at the time the saints would grab him when haslett was on his way out.

someone needs to post all the star players they let go that one season. similar to what the marlins do every couple of years.
