Upchurch. Not real sure. What about using Jeter or Gordon? Both of them are glorified blockers anyway.
True, I've seen teams use their TE's at the fullback position before. It's not like LSU is to the point where they would have to resort to that. They still have fullbacks.
Saturday Fournette only rushed for 58 yards in the first half. He gained the bulk of his yardage in the second half when they ran from the pistol instead of the I
His best running has been out of the I with a fullback, though. Les will have to develop one fast. Mouton will be given a a shot. They will play Ducre if necessary but I think they want to redshirt him to stagger the class. Williams will probably practice some at fullback to add to depth. With Williams in at fullback, he's always a threat to carry on the quick dive that he's so good at as well as lead Fournette. But he's needed at tailback, too. Les said that he's not moving any tight ends. Maybe because they lack the initial quickness and practice time or Les just has confidence in the young fullbacks.
I think FB will be Mouton or Williams, whoever has the best week of practice. I think Guice has jumped Williams for the second TB spot so that takes the pressure off of Williams to relieve LF7.
I'm not so sure. I think Williams comes in second, as usual. He is a proven short-yardage specialist who can breakaway. Guice had a big game, but he is the change-up back. Dramatically different style and most effective when he comes in fresh against a tired defense.
