JO'BIII Is it just me, or does this guy have no desire, effort, hustle, etc.? He appears to not have the "want" to be on the court. Looks like an amazing talent though. Thoughts?
I think he had the label of a guy who took a play off now and then when he came out of high school. That said, I would imagine there is an adjustment period going from high school to major college basketball. I agree that he has the size, frame and talent to be a really good one. We'll see if Trent can light a fire under him.....but overall I am liking what I see from this years team.
I wish people would use names spelled out and not resort to initials....I have no Idea who you're talking about here. I thought this was a thread about a new type of affordable Scotch !!!
I follow LSU basketball verrrry closely. I couldn't even figure out which sport you were talking about. Sorry. But I didn't get to see the Marquette game very much because I was at a Christmas Party at the Abita Brew pub. Wish all my rowdy friends were there !! I just watched the last three or four minutes intently. The rest of the time,I was just checking in. O'Brien didn't play very well ?? If not, it's probably because Trent Johnson runs a thinking man's scheme and O'Brien is just at the very beginning of the first year in LSU's offense. People say Trent can't recruit very well in Louisiana, but it takes time to put in a sustainable system. This year, a lot of the pieces of the puzzle are in, but some of the most important pieces are still adjusting to both the game and the system. Trent is building a team that is going to be greater than the individual parts. Watch how many cylinders they're hitting on by the end of the regular season !!
I'd say he's more timid than lazy, because there have been times where he's flying all over the place. I think he may just need to get used to the college game.
I think it is a matter of coming from a world where little effort was required for him to be dominant into a world where he will have to work. Because Hickey and Isac didn't have the same physical tools as JOBIII they had to work a little more. He will develop fine under Trent.
I agree...this isn't a text message where time dictates abbreviation. Just spell it out man. lol I agree with the time getting used to the game factor. I think he will come around just fine as time goes on.
It's OK to use the abbreviations but somewhere in the initial posts or topic title, use the proper name so we feeble minded old timers don't get confused. I seriously had no idea who JBIII was. Now I think it's a great topic to discuss LSU BBall in general. Just please give us a real name first to refer to. It's even worse with the acronyms in the NBA. Great topic...minor complaint !!
