They showed a stat that Seattle's stadium allows 58 % fewer homeruns to left handed hitters vs Yankee stadium.

So yeah this is a stupid deal for Seattle. Investment won't be close to being returned.

He averaged about 28 homers and 102 RBIs over the last 5 years, so you can temper that to about 20 homers and 85 RBIs. That's not worth $24 million a year.

I can't believe he got that much. Didn't they learn anything from the A-Rod and Pujols contracts? And Cano is not nearly the player either of them were in their primes.

If Cano didn't loaf it half the time he would be worth it. But honestly can you blame him, he is alot better than Elsbury and the Yankess gave him around 175 million.

Elsbury goes right up there with Wade Boggs and Roger Clemens, and Nick Saban, fucking sell out bitch.

Because they left the Red Sox and ended up with the evil empire.

The only people who care about these rivalries are the fans. This is no different from a banker at Goldman Sachs accepting more money to work at Merrill Lynch. Clemens and Boggs finally got to experience winning by leaving, too.

Worth mentioning: NYC is a million times better than Boston.

To win, Boston had to become the very thing they despised about the Yankees. Huge payroll and paying above market value for their stars.
