Javi gets credit only because that's "Departing Coach BS" written by the L.S.U. Sports Information Department. Write something nice, give it to the head coach to put a few of his own words in there and send the respective coach on his way. Long over due. Sanchez was the baseball version of Lou Tepper. If DiNardo would have made the move on Lou, he still might be the head football coach. Many coaches are stubborn and too loyal to their friends to the detriment of their program. BTW, the name being thrown around the most so far for his replacement is former Tulane player Andy Cannizaro.
what i don't like is this coach is linked to cpm and that could be a problem, now matt heath is a name that has been thrown around. This is his second stint with the program, boasting an impressive track record of coaching surrounding professional experience as a player and scout. He is one of the rare coaches that has coached both hitting and pitching and had success on both sides of the ball. Heath has experience playing for two college coaches that have won a total of 7 National Championships in LSU’s Skip Bertman (5) and Florida’s Andy Lopez (2).
