I know it's preseason but I don't see any defensive improvement. This is the TEXANS for gosh sakes.. Gonna be another long year for Saints fans.
I called for the firing of the DC, but unfortunately like Smith had on Mora, Gibbs has something on Payton we don't know about. David should not be a starter in the NFL, and Bullocks would barely qualify as an arena football league player. This team has failed to get a legit FA on the defensive side of the ball the past 2 years.
I wish we could get lucky with a 7th round draft pick at DB like we did with Colston. Other than Tommy Myers, I'm having a difficult time thinking of any decent secondary players in Saints' history.
Maybe our secondary would have better luck if we played against John David Booty each week. He just threw a perfect pass for a touchdown...to the wrong team! Playing in the NFL is a little different than playing powerhouse Stanford. :hihi:
too bad we couldnt get Lito Shep from the eagles not saying he would cure it all just that he would help some. Our whole Defensive Backfield needs a makeover. I definitely agree with Islstl that the DC should've been and be fired. If we stay with the same DB roster we should switch to some type of zone defensive scheme which David actually did good in.
