I noticed Earnest McCoy was playing some LT for the Purples in the spring game and well too. He and Alim ( I believe) were having a battle. That was just from a short video clip.
He is gone, LSUSports.net has already updated his player page to reflect this (link). As a true freshman last year, he played on our OL for seven games. He was in the 2007 LSU recruiting class, where: Scout had him as the #10 OT prospect in the nation, 4 star (link). Rivals had him as the #12 OT prospect in the nation, 4 star (link).
I am 100% positive that Jarvis Jones got into a fist fight in a summer school class either last week or the week before. They had to cancel the class that day bc of the fight. This is coming from a student in the class.
So . . . two offensive linemen were dismissed last year, then two left the team in the spring and now another is dismissed. That's five offensive linemen behind the curve. Depth is becoming an issue quickly.
We have enough guards and centers to sink a boat, but we are dangerously short on experienced offensive tackles. We may again need to pull the redshirt off of a freshman or two, or move a guard to tackle.
There's more to it than that (or so I'm told)... Without going into detail, word is his dismissal resembled Perrilloux's in more ways than one. Also in that it wasn't just one thing he was kicked off the team for... but a few different issues and multiple violations of said issues.

A complete oversite by the writer of this article. I guess that is why Miles hesitates to throw guys off the team.
OU has Phil Loadholt also. He's a load. Shoulda gotten him at LSU. I still don't understand how he's not academically eligible at LSU, but he can go to OU?
