Rumor today about Jarvis Jones no longer on the team. Not sure what he did but with him probably getting a starting spot next year I do not see him leaving on his own for any reason. I did get confirmation that he is in Texas and not taking calls.:nope:
If true, that leaves us thin at RT for a backup behind Barksdale. He's been "light" since he arrived and hasn't packed on the weight he was supposed to and was looking like a three year project. On the bright side, it opens up a scholarship, if the rumor is true. So much for rumors! It was once rumored that ... Tubberville ...:insane:
I hope he stays. It's not like he isn't going to get a lot of playing time. The first 3 games are going to be blowouts, and he would get to play almost the whole second half in each game. IMO he played very well last year when he got in. As far as him being too light, I'm not sure how much he weighs anymore. Rivals had him arriving at LSU at 250, and now he is listed at 294. Although, I do remember hearing Tommy Moffit on 1210 a.m. last year saying he was around 330 lbs. I really do hope he comes back. He is the key backup at both tackles and one injury away from being a starter.
That's not good. He was supposed to be a multiple year starter. Damn, not a good way to start the day.
I'll just get everything set up, and take my time writing the letter. I don't have any inside scoop but I emailed some guys who do. One replied that he'll check it out.
Offensive tackle Jarvis Jones has been dismissed from the LSU football team by coach Les Miles. Sports Information Director Michael Bonnette confirmed that Jones is no longer in the program. Bonnette said that he did not know what school Jones would now attend. http://lsu.rivals.com/

he's gone. so insert noose to neck, I guess. In all seriousness, the kid has been a bad apple for a while now. You do not get kicked off for "first straws" most of the time.
