Wow, the guy does have a quick release. We would have been better playing him behind this OL. Thoughts? Jarrett Lee Highlights Video - Click To See
I cant say if we would have been better or worse with Lee, what i can tell you is that Lee has a quicker delivery, better pocket presence, a better 3 and 5 step drop, and better throwing mechanics. He has no wheels, but is fearless. He made alot of mistakes last season, everyone wants to harp on the pick sixes, including myself, but only 3 were actually relevant. Jefferson has the ability to pick up first downs with his legs when the pocket colapses, but his internal clock is not telling him anything, and his awareness of defenders close to him is not there. I don't know if Lee will be the answer, but what i do know, is if a player is not executing like he should be, regardless of his position, should always be evaluated and have the chance to get benched if he doesn't perform. Even knowing that he can be benched could cause him to play better. There is nothing wrong with competition.
23.9 you have to subtract 7 points for the fact he averaged one pick 6 per game so 23.9, 23.1 eh? Just throwing it out there...
What are their records comparatively at this point as starters? Remember the GT game? JJ was throwing it all over the place, took the team down the field, and scored. Now, the coaches are getting back into that wimpy, don't let him screw up mentality that is obviously screwing him up.
I think the balls-out mentality in the GT game was a "What do we have to lose?" ordeal. As for this season... The tiny play-calling has gotten us this far, and it needs to change. Not change the coaching staff. But perhaps the playcalling.
