Lets go over it. Sept. 4 North Carolina Atlanta, Ga. Tricky, first game of the season, should be a W anyway, we have a great defense coming back, Jefferson will be better, hopefully have Tolliver, D. Peterson, Shep, Randle, Ridley, Ford. Sept. 11 Vanderbilt Nashville, Tenn. Should be a W. Sept. 18 Mississippi State Baton Rouge Should be a W. Sept. 25 West Virginia Baton Rouge Should also be a W. Oct. 2 Tennessee Baton Rouge Hmmm, i don't know, should be a W, but Kiffin will have a plan on Defense, Monte that is, and hopefully Baton Rouge police will be on alert. Oct. 9 Florida Gainesville, Fla. This is a W. Our defense will shut them down, and we should be able to put up points on a defense that will be losing alot. Oct. 16 McNeese State Baton Rouge W Oct. 23 Auburn Auburn, Ala. Should be a W, just not sold on Chizik. Defense is still suspect. Nov. 6 Alabama Baton Rouge Game of the year, Bama is good in Baton Rouge, LSU will be better and want revenge, lets hope the Zebras don't aid the tide again. Nov. 13 Louisiana-Monroe Baton Rouge W Nov. 20 Ole Miss Baton Rouge Should be a W, Ole Miss could be 0-9 and would still play us hard. Nov. 27 Arkansas Little Rock, Ark. Arkansas will be better, but still should be a W. I don't know man, the schedule looks tough, but its definitely do able.
It might have been an 11 win regular season this year if JJ wouldn't have gotten hurt early in the 2nd half of the Bama game. Either way, if it's the best we can do, it's the best we can do. It still beats JL's 4-4 mark as a starter (not that he couldn't improve upon that, I just don't see any evidence that tells me there would be significant improvement).
Everything i have seen from Jordan Jefferson, with his progression has led me to believe that he will be the 2nd best quarterback in the SEC next season behind Ryan Mallet. No one can dispute the fact that he has gotten better, and better, and better every week, with the exception of the Florida game. At this point i have him ranked as the 3rd best qb in the SEC behind, Tebow, and Mallet.
I never once said the nonsense you just did. As always you throw your strawman argument onto the fire, in fact you were the one saying "how great Lee is going to be".
no he wont, thats what people are trying to get through to you. he will only get you 7-10 wins, even though there are only 12 games.
What? Might? You might have been 1-4 if a few plays would have went differently... and yes LSU was outplayed in most of the early games.
LaSalleAve, Well first of off you are counting wins over NC and WV... if you think those are just automatic wins good luck with that. As far as Jefferson if you have him with the talent LSU has, he probably can get you 7-10 wins. I don't know how you win against the top teams with 8 guys in the box week in and week out. Hey they tried it this year, we'll see how long Les rides this.... the safe bet is Jefferson and take your 7-10 wins.
