I hope he has great success the rest of his life. It's too bad more people don't have that kind I'd attitude.
VERY admirable attitude... wish he would have gotten his shot in NO... he excelled in that roll last year. Good luck Jarrett Lee.
I had a feeling after 5 November 2011 that Jarrett Lee had taken his last meaningful snap at QB for LSU, barring major injury to the starter, JJ.
Its obvious that jj comming back put a lot of pressure on him. He knew if faltered, he was done. As he said, that is just the way it was....... though it should not have been
So for those with reading comprehension problems but apt to try to create scenarios that don't exist, In Lee's own words: 1. All the speculation and emails surrounding team dissension prior to the game are complete BS. 2. Though he didn't like the decision, the coaches had a reason for not playing him. 3. Contrary to the notion that Lee was mistreated he states in no uncertain terms that the coaches treated him well and he has a great relationship with all of the coaches. Doesn't that all kind of run contrary to the bloviations from a very vocal segment of LSU fans?
Reading between the lines, there is no conspiracy theory. Granted, Lee knew that JJ had earned a right to play as well, but he also knew that JJ was the favored son, and that JJ would not have to "play extremely well" in order to continue to play, but that he [Lee] himself, would. ... that as Lee put it, the starting position was "not open" .. it was ordained that it would be JJ's. And ... "pretty good relationship" ..is the type of words that say these two guys were not friends in the least. they were fierce competitors. Aquaintences, .. yeah .. Lee supported JJ just because of his nature .. but I don't think JJ supported Lee. In fact JJ was emphatic that he wanted his starting position back. Typical Narcissists. I watched the game tonight. Lee did pretty well. Threw a TD .. but didn't come in for the second half at all. Noticed he may have hurt his arm or something, and hopefully that is why he didn't come in for the second half. Good luck Jarrett.
