Since JL has experiences with the SEC team and played only 3 plays in 4 games this season, I think he is the Miles' secret weapon and will surprise the UGA team in the 2nd half. Because our running game is not that great and JJ is very inconsistent in his passing game, Lee will open up our offense with more deep balls. I know there is a risk of having INTs, but more risks lead to more success. I bet we're gonna see more Lee in the UGA game, don't you think?
Lee goes in only if Jefferson goes down or has a really, really terrible half. If he does get an opportunity, I think Lee will respond well. He's got an arm and he learned a lot from last year.
Title should change: Jarrett Lee, Mark Richt's Secret Weapon I hope, that when and if we need him, he is ready. So far he has been. There is no way he sees the field on purpose.
Guys, (and Gals), Football is not this damn complicated. You don't "hide" players or plays nearly as much as some of you would like to believe. Trust me, everything you guys think of that maybe just possibly we are hiding, the opposing coaches thought about it two weeks before you. Sure a trick play here and there may work, but not a trick PLAYER. It is pretty ignorant to think we are not playing certain players because we are saving them for later.
We may not have a choice. Look what happened to Tebow yesterday and if it can happen to that road grader it can happen to anyone. I heard that when he came off the field Meyer asked him how he was feeling and he said coach did I hold onto the ball? He couldn't even remember if he had fumbled!
All bow to the all knowing "Chosen" one.:dis: What the coaches are doing is to try different things to see what works. This week's game plan will begin to show what they think those are. I don't think Miles wants to "hide" a play and lose to MSU so he can spring it and beat Florida or Georgia.
I wouldn't be opposed to seeing what Lee could do on a series or two. I agree with Red that he learned alot from last year and it's highly unlikely that he'll play any poorly than last year. I guess that makes me a hypocrite since I was calling for JJ last year.
As much as I would like to see the kid given another chance, I don't see it. We're three weeks into the season and he's seen just a few snaps. If he were sharing snaps with Jefferson, then perhaps. However, Miles has made it abundantly clear as to which horse he's riding and it isn't Jarrett Lee.
