Thanks Jarrett Lee, for your gutty effort yesterday to lead  to a win over Tennessee! Jarrett has seen some wins and more adversity in 2007, he has persevered and worked on his craft and he has made himself a better QB. My congratulations for taking advantage of the opportunity and contributing to the good of the team! Sometimes people need a second chance in life. When they get it, some have prepared to take advantage of it, and some haven't. Jarrett Lee did the right things, and now he get's to enjoy the reward for those efforts the last 2 years. Thanks to the D, and the o-line, and Ridley, and the receivers, but special thanks to Jarrett Lee.
He did a lot of good things, but he's still a little rough around the edges. If he continues to see significant playing time (starting role, please) I think he will level out fine.
Thanks for staying with the program and outclassing the fans that thought you were nothing short of the anti-Christ just a couple of years ago.
Without Lee LSU would have lost the game yesterday. I understand he still has A LOT to improve on as a QB, but I want to give him credit for yesterday. He only threw the ball 40 times in all of '09, and yet they asked him to throw it 23 times yesterday while coming off the bench. The man has balls to take all the crap he was given and still go out there and execute when called upon. I tip my hat to you sir.
Lee had a pretty good game and led us to victory despite the coaching staff. However I wouldn't start any Heisman campaigns yet. He has a long way to go to be a quality SEC QB. Hopefully Miles will give him the chance to prove whether he can continue to grow as a QB and team leader. He should definitely start the next couple of games. It wouldn't surprise me if fans here are screaming for JJ by halftime of next weeks game. Florida is a huge step up and Miles is still trying to call a play in yesterdays game. He almost has one ready.
Lee is a class young man. He will be a very good SEC QB with more playing time and we should be grateful he stuck around.
Something I have always said about Jefferson is he does not give me the "I'm a winner" feel. Yesterday, Lee let everyone in the stadium know that he is a "winner". And the coaches tried to take that away from him.
Lee clearly has some rust to shake off, and some rough edges to be smoothed out. He's also clearly a better QB than JJ, and gives us our best chance to have a productive offense. He should be our starter, period.
I REALLY ENJOYED seeing JL ask the crowd for their support late in the game. He was into it, and I smiled inside. After all he's been through, he had to feel good about the situation.
