Didn't really see a thread about this, apologize if one exists, kinda new to these forums. Anyways, we know his listening to Bama but is still committed here. I bring this up because I saw something on the situation from another forum. I don't really rely on TD.com for information but seeing as I haven't seen anything about it on Scout/Rivals, thought I'd bring it up. Apparently hes seriously considering Bama because Saban is throwing the "hes going to hire his dad as DB coach" at the kid. Has anyone heard anything about this? I thought he just took a new job to begin with anyway. Sounds like a bs rumor to me but it would be pretty smart and devastating IMO. JJ is a top 25 prospect in my eyes. I'm just starting to get really bad vibes about this recruiting class finish. I don't get the vibe with RR, JJ is possibly waivering, Mcfarland cutting us and now Jones possibly eliminating us also...
I thought it was obvious Mcfarland was really on OU/Texas? That's what I've been hearing anyway. Wasn't really shocked to see the decision
I found that really hard to believe too, considering who his dad is... If Saban can pull JJ over to Bama, I'd say that is a pretty epic recruiting triumph considering his family roots. I think other schools are using our Co-DC turmoil against us in recruiting, which is starting to show in recent recruits Jones/Mcfarland and possibly JJ.
To be fair I dont think schools are negative recruiting, I think our co DC's are doing enough negative recruiting with their product. But in reality that still isnt that big of a deal to most.
I believe there is some merit to the Janzen wavering rumor, however I still fully expect him to sign with LSU. And if Saban hires his dad, well there isn't much we can do about that... I don't think Saban is Coach O though, so I doubt there's much truth to that.
