break down his sentence for me,

At any rate, if I entice you to murder, and you murder, does that make you innocent of murder?

how are two people culpable in that sentence? So if I murder does that make me innocent of murder? I don't know what the point is here.

The person who killed is culpable and the person who incited the murderer is culpable. That’s a long-standing principle of the law.

but trump didnt ask anyone to trespass.

those people are being charged with minor crimes, most of them. one stole a beer from pelosi's office.

the worst crime committed was fighting with a cop. that will get you in trouble. but its not an "insurrection", nor did trump ask anyone to punch any cops. he in fact told them to go home.

again, you posted an article where the trump team outlines their plan to get recounts. none of their plan had anything to do with these rioters, who did their own thing and didnt help towards the goal of recount at all.

the most egregious lie you guys tell about this is that "we almost lost our democracy". this is just made up bullshit and you guys should stop saying it.

It certainly does. The protestation that the rioters were innocent because government plants were there inciting them to insurrection is what makes no sense. Not that it's true, anyway. And not that Joe Biden even had such power at that point. It was still trump's government.

We were ONE momma's boy away from a constitutional crisis that would have prompted trump to declare an emergency. That was the plan, but Pence, god bless his provincial soul, didn't play along. And we would probably have had civil war.

Make no mistake, if the coup had been successful that would have been the end of American democracy, because from that point on any man in power could have then refused the vote of the people, simply because he didn't like the outcome.

so your belief is that every presidential election puts us in a situation where the vice president can take over the country and institute a dictatorship against the will of the people?

seems like a flaw in the system to give the vice president that much power. also its unclear how can pull this off without the people just saying no thanks we will stay a democracy.

This election proved that American democracy is a very delicate construction that can be ripped apart by bad actors establishing an evil precedent, yes.

The vice president is usually just a vassal of the president.
