I never said pleading the 5th was the same as saying you were guilty. I did say the internet had it as someone pleading the 5th “probably” has something to hide. Otherwise, you talk, get it over with and move on. To your brilliant legal mind everyone should plead the 5th. That's just not the case.
Man Winston, you were right...it's like banging your head against a wall. Idiots abound. But with no facts...only to be argumentative.
I've never heard a lawyer say "Your honor, this person pleaded the 5th and that "probably" means they have something to hide. The internet says so!".
almost everyone should plead the fifth, if not explicitly, they should just be quiet and never answer the cops/senators/investigators/lawyers questions about anything. ever. you should never cooperate with investigations really, unless you are on the same side as the cops, like they are tryin to find out who shot you. the only way you should ever talk to anyone about anything is if you have talked to your lawyer and you should say only what your lawyer says you can say, and nothing else ever. again, all of this is especially true if you are innocent. also, if you think the investigation is frivolous, like this one is, even more reason to never say anything. this isnt just being petulant, its smart and ever single lawyer will tell you this. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE INNOCENT
They are not interested in being objective and finding the truth. They only want to win no matter the cost or method. The end always justifies the means.
outside of court is another place where the wise man never talks to investigators. ever. here, outside of this argument, i think this is a very important video everyoen should watch:
