this isnt true. thats not how the fifth amendment works. during the rittenhouse trial, the prosecutor tried to imply this, that not talking means you have something to hide. the judge stopped the trial to scream at him. its one of the most fundamental concepts in our justice system. you dont have to talk, and that wont be held against you. again, you shouldnt talk to law enforcement, or congress or whoeve, etc, ever. especially if you are innocent. if a cop pulls you over and asks if you have drugs and if he can search the car, you dont speak to him and refuse a search. not even if, but especially if, you are innocent!
