No the point is both parties have sacrificed principles for power. Neither cares for anything else and ignore the consequences. Frankly it’s becoming an intolerable situation and is leading us down the road to totalitarian government no matter what party label is used.
Where did I mention Trump? This isn’t solely a “Trump “ issue though he has contributed more than his share. The abuse of executive power is a trend in both parties and it’s valid to show it whoever is currently in office. Likewise the accelerating trend to sacrifice principles for power is evident in both parties. To ignore this trend has been increasing no matter who is in office and has continuously since W. It’s because of the polarization of the parties and increasing intolerance of dissent within. This is dangerous for our country and future. To throw out the charge of “whataboutism” is merely an effort to obscure the truth.
BULLSHIT, Trump the bastard was pulling the government out of spaces they shouldn't have been in. He actively left positions open in a effort to shrink the damn bureaucracy. Reduced regulation on an unprecedented scale. Never a Trump (er) but hate the authoritarian nanny state worse. He was doing good work, far better than what we have now. Biden put out more executive fiats in his first 90 days than Trump did over years.
This is EXACTLY the problem. Just because someone is anti-Trump does not mean they are pro-Biden or pro-Democrat. What this country really needs is a moderate third party to rein in the extremists on both side. An authoritarian Trump state is no better than an authoritarian nanny state.
