    if he had no power to refuse to certify the results, and he didnt even try, where is the risk to our country again?

    nah it wasnt peaceful.

    perhaps they are making a point about cnn declaring the flaming riots mostly peaceful

    The risk was that they tried to intimidate him and congress to stop the certification. That it didn’t succeed doesn’t mean there was no risk and no insurrection. A failed bank robbery is still a crime. BTW if you say you don’t understand the analogy you’re either stupid or not serious….and I know you’re pretty damn smart.

    and here is where we hopefully agree there there are degrees of risk. but here we disagree, you say alot, and i say none.

    the risk you say almost cost us our country is imagined.

    i understand your analogy. i know than an attmepted crime is sometimes a crime. but at some point we also accept that the crime is not significant and dangerous.

    its like if i try to break the speed limit of 80 but my car only does 35. there was an attempt. but nobody should care.

    do you think we should give tickets for people attempting to speed?
