I’ll give you a couple of answers. First are you depending on the word of the same FBI you thought corrupt and incompetent during the Mueller investigation?
Second the January 6 commission is finding all sort of evidence from PowerPoints to emails and texts from Trump administration officials. Mark Meadows has been a treasure trove of evidence of the conspiracy and planning.

if trumps allies and even his son are texting that this "insurrection" is dumb, then who are we to believe is to overthrow the country, besides viking hat guy?

how i the fact that trumps son opposes this, somehow evidence that it was dangerous? its dangerous if the trump family supports it, not opposes it.

yunno coups need more people to favor it than just the viking hat guy and dozens of Q lunatics. trump himself told them to go home.

every time i ask you guys to explain how this actually was dangerous you make up scenarios that "could have" happened. but they didnt. this is like saying we were at risk last year for the lions to win the superbowl. yunno, if they had been good. they could have!

it really doesnt matter what you can imagine happening. your own evidence shows team trump and even fox news being opposed to these clowns

i am reading about this on cnn site

this is suppoosed to be incriminating according to them:

    "
Another lawmaker texted Meadows before January 6 insisting then-Vice President Mike Pence reject electoral votes, repeating back to the White House the proposal that was reportedly put forward in a much-discussed 38-page power point presentation that was seen as a recipe for a coup.
"On January 6, 2021, Vice President Mike Pence, as President of the Senate, should call out all electoral votes that he believes are unconstitutional as no electoral votes at all," the lawmaker told Meadows, according to the committee"

whats wrong with that? what part are we supposed to opoose? clearly mike pence should reject electoral votes he believes are unconstitutional. he is sworn to uphold the constitution! thats the whole point of every lawmakers job!

was he supposed to believe votes were unconstitutional and just say ok? now that would be a coup! the thing they (CNN) think is incriminating is a lawmaker encouraging pence to do exactly the perfect and right thing, which he did.

you guys on the left are tryig way too hard on this one

The text messages that are coming to light just further proves what a disgusting coverup this has been. This is not what’s best for the country. And it’s all not to fall out of favor with 1 person…and that refusal is the result of people like some of you who worship at the throne of Trump, no matter what a slimy, slithery person he has always shown himself to be. Be real, under any circumstances, can you ever imagine Trump admitting defeat?

There are so many inaccuracies in your comments that make them nonsensical. First as has been amply shown Pence had no power to refuse to certify the results. That he was pressured to do so is asking him to do something illegal.
There was no basis and never has been to claim the idea that the way election was stolen. This was known at the time and only Trump’s continued lying about it kept it in front of the media.
Without these two facts the whole effort is nothing more than an attempt to illegally overturn the voice of the voters.

There is zero reason to believe you. Not that it would change the point in any way. Your posts are comically defensive owing to your support for a p.o.s. who you know is a p.o.s.

We were ONE man away from utter chaos in this country, to be followed by a "state of emergency", martial law, and then a full-on civil war. For all his momma's boy religious whacko nutcasery Mike Pence held firm and did his sworn duty.

What did JMG say that was wrong?

Is this one of those times you just say "no" and declare yourself the winner?

For real though, how was Jan 6th Coup supposed to look from a logistical standpoint?

Everything he said was wrong in fact and in law.
Just declaring yourself the winner is the anthesis of the constitution and everything our republic stands for. It’s what dictatorships do.
As laid out before and confirmed by numerous documents the plan was to stop the certification and have Trump call a national emergency. That would give time for legislatures in enough states (Arizona, Georgia etcetera) time to create new Republican electors and change the electoral vote. Alternatively throw the election into the house where each state gets one vote. Republicans would have 26 states and could declare Trump the winner.
That the basis (Pence stopping the vote) was illegal and unconstitutional makes it an insurrection. No need for the crowd or the man with the horns to do anything else.
