Point is most of the crowd was composed of dupes who were pointed at congress in hopes of stopping the certification. That’s why you see video of the event a group violently attacking the capital, assaulting capital police as well as people walking around like tourists. If the riots had stopped the certification Trump was ready to take advantage of the chaos and usurp the presidency. The real insurrectionists weren’t those assaulting the capital but those who created the lies about a stolen election and spent every day between Nov 3 and January 6 building the crowd’s rage then pointed it at congress and released it.
