calling jan 6 an insurrection is pretty silly. if my toddler says he hates joe biden and wants to overthrow the govt, and he tries to go to washington to smash into the capitol, but i stop him and distract him with a twix, thats technically a failed attempted insurrection. but its not significant. not very newsworthy. we can ignore insurrections that dont involve armies or at least a few hundred thousand combatants. our military is pretty powerful. our system is not easy to overthrow. if it was, the russians would send 17 sharpshooters to the capitol and start forcing us to speak russian. you dont actually run the govt the moment you trespass at the capitol. the lefty media says we almost lost our democracy. that kind of hyperbole seems a bit irresponsible. its driven by trump derangement syndrome, of course. every democrat is now advancing basically one agenda: trump is racist, and you are as well. the dems tried this strategy on glenn yonugkin in VA, calling him a white supremacist trumpbot. they failed. its a bad strategy.
