It’s simple and been stated before. By preventing certification of the electoral college the election would have been thrown into the house. In the house the representatives vote as the states. The Republicans controlled 26 states (at least) so Trump would have won 26-24 and been “re-elected”. The whole point of Jan 6 was to stop certification. It would have been technically legal and constitutional. Of course it required an insurrection to succeed.
That is not how it works. This isnt Cinderella where when the clock strikes...... For example, there could have been a blizzard on Jan 6th and the Democracy wouldnt have died if they pushed it a day.
When your response started with “I think” I knew anything after would be as soft a landing as possible without, as usual, any proof. So the “kill Mike Pence” and “hang Nancy Pelosi” chants were actually meant in a peaceful way? Bullshit, back room psychologist.
I wasn’t the one asking that question. My question was why you don’t make a big deal, or even a small deal, that media companies suppressed information leading up to the election. It doesn’t matter what side of the fence you stand on, that should be unacceptable to everyone. Like a coup
How did I get dragged into the Jan 6 explanations? Explain it to the guy that wants the answer. I’m still on about the media coup. ETA: my response of “I think” was me understanding that another poster wanted your explanation. You should’ve quoted that guy
@LSUpride123 is right. You can't prevent the electoral votes from being cast/recorded. Maybe delay. Once all votes are cast if there is no majority it goes to the House. This is simple stuff. You really think they could have prevented the vote by force? Or intimated the electors into not voting? Or just that Trump thought this could happen?
I dont have time to watch. Just give me the bullet points. What were the biggest facts showing that Trump planned an erection?
You all should read this because you’re just like the Oath Keepers except without the balls to act. https://www.theatlantic.com/newsletters/archive/2022/12/oath-keepers-rhodes-jan-6/672329/
