trump peacefully left the white house when biden was inaugurated, e.g. when power was transferred just like every other president
I understand that taking the 5th does not mean that you are guilty. But I also understand that juries and Americans in general, rightly or wrongly, don't like it when people take the 5th. Like Trump, they assume guilt at that point. I assume you think citizens should be free from all subpoenas, not just from Congress. Our legal system would be crippled without them. Will you admit you understand that? Are you a Proud Boy or an Oath Keeper?
You know darn well Trump was guilty of inciting the violence on Jan 6. The hearing last night showed rioters on their phones watching his twitter feed for instructions. Yeah, you had to read between the lines, but it was very obvious they were taking cues from him. That is not a peaceful transfer of power.
He incited the violence, then violated his oath of office by sitting and doing nothing in response to what he knew was an attack against our government, our democracy, and our Constitution. You know this, but like all trumpian cultists you feel the need to deny. trumpians like you KNOW your cult leader is an evil criminal piece of shit, but because trump says and does the racist, fascist shit you love you feel the need for contorted and perverted justifications.
Just your latest in relentless lies. There was nothing peaceful about his exit. He didn't have to be dragged out kicking and screaming on January 20, but by then he had already incited a deadly insurrection, caused enormous damage to many individuals with his election lies, and deliberately violated his oath of office. You know all this. You're just not an honest person.
Fascism and racism are the ONLY reasons for supporting trump at this point. You're a basket of deplorables.
poor assumption. i dont think congress should be doing the work of the justice dept. if you wanna accuse a person of a crime. do it. indict. no political show subpoenas. its like arresting a person for resisting arrest when there was no underlying crime. what do you think is trumps crime?
