It is like a Baton handoff in a relay. There are rules. it is only by following the rules that the country and society are maintained. The period from at least November 3 ending with January 6 was a premeditated and deliberate attempt by Trump to break the rules. The riot was one part of the insurrection. Had a tornado hit and wiped out the leadership there are again rules of succession in the executive branch and laws to repopulate the legislative branch.
