under trump economically? absolutely… global standing who knows? domestic policy better under trump… I’m socially more liberal but very much a hawk militarily….secure the southern border please had trump had 4 more years we’d had a chance to balance trade and expand domestic energy production…. now not so much
global standing and reputation is almost always a non thing in the sense that critics are using it. the people that matter know where we stand. it doesnt matter if justin trudeau or rodrigo duterte thinks trump is dumb. and really it doesnt even matter that biden looked weak leaving afghanistan. people know our economy and military run the world. that doesnt change. china isnt gonna invade taiwan out of perceived US weakness. the allies that need us. the baltics, s korea, taiwan, etc, they know we are solid. and the rivals, they know we could fuck them up.
Definitely better of with Trump. And most of what you said about Trump can be applied to Biden...including a track record of being a racist, habitual liar, his son is a compromised felon living large because of the corrupt Biden family, etc, etc, etc....You voted for the worst piece of slime imaginable. You must consume lots of State Media.
No, it's not just policy. Of course, policy is incredibly important, but being President is much more than that. It is just as important for the President to set an example for other nations and our citizens as it is for a parent to set an example for his child. Do as I say, not as I do very seldom works. That is the trademark of an abusive parent.
The problem may be that where we stand with Taiwan is probably changing or will change with Biden. Taiwan is a glowing jewel of capitalism. It doesn't fit the progressive world view/narrative going forward. Biden will turn his back on Taiwan - as instructed. Trump called Taiwan first to say hi.
If you think the Biden's are corrupt, but not the Trump's then you are smoking some good stuff. Come on, be reasonable and fair.
I have no idea, and neither do 99.99999% of Americans. Republicans believe their news sources and Democrats theirs. Sadly, both sides are willing to lie through their teeth these days to get what they want.
i dont like biden and i think he is weak on china, and i believe taiwan called trump first to congratulate him, and he took the call, controversially. but i dont think biden is so weak that china thinks they can take taiwan. thats much too much for them to try. if we enabled thie aggression by allowing that, they would get even more aggro. the whole world knows this, and taiwan will stay in a status quo awkward limbo for a very long time. plus we have some agreements in place where we will not allow a change in govt in taiwan by anything other than peaceful means, we see non peaceful overthrow of taiwan democracy as a threat to the world and our safety.
