isnt it true that even his vassals at fox news were calling and trying to get him to speak out more quickly about how the rioters should go home?
isnt that statement true regardless of the politician named? either we can be loyal to biden or the constitution but not both"? thts statement is not a condemnation of the named politician, its a truism about how our government works.
thir intent was less relevant than the chance of it happening. i would like to overthrow our government and install a new government that is very close to the same, except all drugs are legal. but you dont have to worry about this happening, even if i get 200 like minded handsome folks like myself to storm the capitol. you cant actually change policy by trespassing and stealing beer from pelosis fridge.
You know very well what I meant. Benedict Donald was in "possession", if you will, of the Presidency. He wanted to muddy the water to stop the transfer of power. He came very close. The insurrection helped him muddy the water.
If he was in possession, why didn't he just cancel the entire process? Well, you know this answer, because the systems of government are so well throughout its literally impossible for one make to take it all over.
i see and you think that having people standing in the halls of congress muddies the water? like if i went to my poli sci profs at LSU and asked about who was president they would like "i dunno bruh its a clear as mud, for all i know viking hat can launch nukes now". can you explain how the waters were muddied, and what specific bit of the metaphorical water was unclear to you? seems to me that the trump admin wanted to send the certifications of the votes back to the states for recount and investigation, and that goal was not one tiny bit helped by the trespassers. clear as crystal.
So if Viking guy and his cohorts had gotten to the certification documents and burned them, the Democrats would have just stepped aside and let the Chief Justice inaugurate Trump to a second term?
even if trump got exactly what he want it would just mean the states in question would have their legislatures make an effort again to legitimize the votes. worst case scenario is the state elections are declared bad and they vote again. and that certainly doesnt count as losing our democracy. thats actually more democratic
