Do you need to be a highly respected NFL analyst to know that? Most of us who don't worship stats have understood that for several years now. THey are losing 17-0 to a bad Chargers team.
I never thought Russell was that great. I was happy to see him go after his junior season. I honestly don't believe LSU would have won an NC with him at the helm.
Russell was one of the best QB's we ever had. He was making major improvements during his junior year. He was slow to develop and he will be slow to develop in the NFL. He has incredible raw talent but had crap coaching his whole life until he got to LSU.
See, we differ in opinion here. With Russell at the helm, I don't think we lose to Kentucky and Arkansas last year. He was a great QB for us--but he was slow to develop. Imagine if he'd had to go in as a true freshman like Jefferson...
Not exactly, he suffered an ankle injury on the last INT. Went to the locker room before the end of the half and left the stadium on crutches.
He doesn't have pocket awareness because he's never had to. You guys remember that DE that hit him as hard as he could then crumbled to the ground. He'll figure it out.
Or he could have played just like he did against UF and Tenn in '06. On many occasions, LSU won in spite of him.
