It is ashame that he makes the Tiger Nation feel like putting a bag onto their heads whenever anyone talks about him:dis: I doubt if there are any JR supporters left.....
some of the smatest football minds on tiger forums defended him till the end. I was not one of them. smartest could be exchanged with ...... you pick. Jr never was worth a crap, he played sand lot football when he was @ LSU. His big arm got us into trouble and sometimes out of trouble. I submit that had we played FLYNN that year we'd have another trophy. QB's need savvy and brains before they need a gun. JR has not got either.
Not saying i am a smart mind, but while he was at LSU i defended him as well, i mean how can you not with the comebacks he guided us through, and the wins he had, and the physical gifts. Its not like the NFL where you know everything about everyone and their work ethic. If he had a poor work ethic its not like Miles would have said anything about it, maybe thats why Saban kept going back to Marcus Randall. How come no one is talking about the Golden Boy Matt Leinart, sure he wasn't drafted 1st overall, but he was a Heisman Trophy winner, coming from Pete Carroll's super amazing awesome pro style offense (puke). To me he is just as big a bust.
You can't call Leinart a Big Bust just yet. Now with Curt Warner retiring he will get his chance to become a Big Bust. Unless the Cardinals make a deal for some other QB. There is some talk on sports radio that they might try to do a trade with the Eagles for Donovan McNabb. McNabb already lives in Arizona in the offseason. Personnally, I am quite fond of Big Busts.
I doubt he had poor work ethic while at LSU; he was eyeing for the NFL Draft with the"megabuck lottery". He knew what was at stake. Once he got the millions$$$, a whole different story; where are his incentives? He needs the drives for perfection and improvement like Brees. Maybe putting him in a dark locker room service area during every game may make him think a little bit......... That's a good one:thumb: Actually doesn't hurt to have both, or all three as a matter of fact
