This just guarantees an exodus of 3-year guys who might have benefitted from staying an extra year. All it takes is one injury to a guy who stayed that could have left for all the other "could leaves" to take notice. Can't say I blame them. But theses are the breaks...no pun intended.
I think this is clear. We certainly saw it after Ciron Black. But the players that left early and failed to get drafted have influenced opinions too, I think. And despite his unfortunate circumstances, La'el Collins' decision to return for his senior season definitely boosted him to early first round status. It's a mixed bag and never an easy call unless you are projected for early first round as a junior. But fellows destined for a low pick or free agent status may think they need that extra year.
Probably the one player we could not afford to lose on the defensive side of the ball. We need lockdown corners as our pass rush will more than likely be less than adequate.
