Did anyone notice how incredibly close JL's first pass was to being a pick six. I can't imagine the psychological impact that may have had on him if it happened. He is a good kid and gratefully the defender did not catch the ball. That may have been hard for everyone, including the team to get past.
JL has looked unbelievably better in the limited playing time he has had. Had last season not happened it would never have been mentioned today. It's time to let last season where he was fed to the wolves go and judge him on what he does now and in the future. Do you judge a QB on how many almost TD's he throws?
How did you like that long incomplete pass over the middle? It was beautiful. Our receivers are going to catch most of those and I hope we see more of his arm this year.
If you're asking me, yes I liked it. it was a nice pass and if not for the contact down field probably would have been completed.
Would have been a disaster, was frightening when it looked like it was going to happen, glad that it didn't.
I call that GUTS. Would have been nice if the long pass was completed. I'd rather see him playing to his strengths than being gun shy.
I noticed as well. Jumped out of chair and spilled my beer. I can't imagine how the crowd would have reacted to that, but he pulled it together and looked good after that.
That pass didn't even come close to being picked. Go back and watch the replay. I think you guys are conditioned to see stuff that isn't there because of what happened last year.
