I've seen big raises for Asst. Coaches in my time. But 225K?

A lot of UT fans feel that way. I think they are under-estimating the Vols potential this season.

I'm not saying they are going to compete for the eastern division, but am saying they'll shock a few teams this year.

Do you remember an article that came out about two months ago discussing the Florida program and how with Urban Meyer it was now broken? Sporting News is what I'm thinking.

The same can be said for what Kiffin left in Knoxville.

Just as one example. When Dooley took over that program his starting offensive line had three combined starts in the group. This year that number is 105 combined starts. When a team eclipses the 100 number it's a sign of some success on the horizon. They're practically returning every starter as well. I'd also put their two WR's as a group that has the potential to be one of the best in the nation come seasons end.

As to Kirby Smart. If Dave Hart does end up firing Dooley by seasons end they'll be looking for a head coach with head coaching experience. I'll bet the rumor du jour will be Jon Gruden at 5 mill per.
