I am not sure what you thought they were showing that they aren't showing now. Classic sports events from the past is their gig. What I wish they would do is have interviews with ex players/coaches of the teams involved while showing clips from the game. They have done that in the past for classic NBA games and it came across pretty cool to watch.
you are apparently new to the channel. it used to be college football replays most of the time. almost any time you could tune in to see herschel walker running all over tennessee or roger staubach leading navy down the field. now its bowling, billiards, rodeo and american gladiators. it should be college football replays 99% of the time.
I still see a fair share of college football games. Just had Alabama/Tennessee from 2006 earlier this afternoon. Your demand is not reasonable. I do agree they lack showing the really old games (pre 1985).
my demand is more than reasonable if i expand it to include the nfl which they used to show as well. not only is it reasonable, they used to do so. they have an endless vault. well actually it used to be boxing and football the majority of the time. now they just do so during the season when in fact id actually watch it during the offseason when nothing is on. they have it backwards.
With the season approaching, I guess they're trying to set the mood. I just got finished watching Bama/AU with Bo Jackson from '83. It was kind of cool seeing the old knee-destroying artificial turf and the antiquated offenses they used to run back then. They were exclusively wishbone and I-formation teams back. No such thing as 4 wide sets or spread. :hihi: BTW, the Barners won 24-23. USCw/OrSt from last year is on now.
