Women's shelters, soup kitchens, indigent health. Do you disagree that these are necessary services that can't be paid for by those needing the service?
I think we should probably have socialized medicine, so that solves your indigent health issue. Women's shelters aren't necessary. Women should just get their own places. They are adults. And soup kitchens are not needed, people in America are not hungry. They die of overeating, never starvation.
Okay, so basically you're saying for the most part, we don't need charities but for things we need, the government should handle? And you're wrong about not needing women's shelters for sure. As a society, we have a responsibility to try to help those who are in bad spots. What about human trafficking. No help for them if they want to escape their situation?
I don't believe human trafficking actually happens in America. Or really anywhere else besides maybe the UAE and a couple other places that are not run by white people. When women are being beaten they should just leave their man and go get their own place. Why do they need shelters? Women who are beaten just go back to the abuser anyways. They love that shit. If you want to help people, you should do it and not give money to others to do it. I get it, you are a rich white person and have white guilt. Donate blood like I do, you will feel better. If you don't feel better then, I would try alcohol.
I don't have white guilt but I do find there are good causes. And you couldn't be any more wrong about trafficking. Do some research into the issue. That's basically like saying global warming isn't real. You'll find no one credible on your side of the argument. You live in an ideological bubble where you think if someone needs help, they should just make their situation better and while it takes personal responsibility, the individual and our society as a whole, benefit from groups that help those people. That's not to say there aren't bad charities. Probably a majority are bad and are just laundering money.
I agree that feminists wants human trafficking to be widespread. But it isn't, not in the first world. And damn sure not in America.
