So after 4 years of the NCAA fighting to keep the records sealed in the McNair lawsuit, which is the primary cause for the Bush issues and the ensuing sanctions, 500 pages have finally been released. Just the iceberg tip but it shows that the NCAA had a predetermined outcome in mind and was completely prejudiced when dealing with USC.

"The NCAA had aggressively sought to seal the documents in which lawyers for Todd McNair, who worked on the Trojans staff from 2004-09, say at least three persons improperly tried to influence the powerful NCAA Committee on Infractions. The nearly 500 pages of documents were unsealed amid continuance in McNair's defamation suit against the NCAA filed in 2011.....

Two non-voting members of the infractions committee made disparaging statements about McNair -- his lawyers contend -- against proper NCAA procedure. One of those non-voting members, Roscoe Howard, a former U.S. attorney, said, "I don't think this committee should be chained to a (enforcement) staff that has seemed to have fallen short with this investigation....

In correspondence to the infractions committee, Rodney Uphoff, the NCAA coordinator of appeals, calls into question USC's hiring of Lane Kiffin. Uphoff had no voting rights with the infraction committee....he compared Miami's solid hiring of Paul Dee to USC's hiring of Kiffin....hilarious.....
Uphoff went to great lengths to compare the Bush case to the Oklahoma City bombing trial. Uphoff was attempting to show how witnesses' credibility could be attacked by challenging the weight given to hearsay.

"This evidence in this [Bush] case is, for example, [is] markedly stronger than in the OKC bombing case which was built entirely on circumstantial evidence," Uphoff wrote. "In fact, there was no direct evidence that [Terry] Nichols was ever involved in the bombing plot"

"As a whole the documents seem to once again call in the veracity of the entire USC investigation."

This is just the first 500 pages. There are hundreds more that the NCAA is still fighting to keep sealed. The conclusion in this case was decided before the COI was ever convened. And Penn St had their ass kissed, literally, by this disgusting group of phonies.

Never one to defend the NCAA, but stoopid rules are on the book for some reason, the same reason. Stoopid people. Some idiot did something stoopid, and not the stoopid rule is on the books.
