Obviously brains are optional on this forum...

    -5-0

    -66% completions

-Better QB rating than opposing QB

    -Over 200 yds. passing

    -I can deal with that

Were ALL the sacks his fault? Gotta put some of the onus on the OL...

Can JJ improve? Sure; however he's still learing and down the road, we probably see him throw some of those away rather than take the sack.

How about the 26 yard run in the 4th? Not too shabby.

He also threw for 200+ yards and there were some flashes of brilliance.

Jamarus had super stats, didn't mean crap, he took sacks at horrible times... stats never showed it. The stats are not going to show he is having a hard time running the option and having a hard time from the pocket.

He had a good last drive. Hopefully some improvement is forthcoming.

FWIW, i think a lot of jefferson's problems could be avoided/corrected if the coaches did a better job of getting the plays relayed to the field faster. it is taking ENTIRELY too long. they need to SCRAP that option play with jefferson, he can't sell it well at all. he needs to get better at selling the handoff. having said that, let's try russell shepard running the option. plus the coaches need to realize jordan is a passing QB. he can run if needed, but they need to realize we have the receivers to make the plays.

i'm not being negative. i actually feel really good going into the florida game. if you would have asked me to predict the game yesterday, i would have said that florida puts 35 points on us. i think our defense can keep them in check after what i saw today.

there is still some improvement that can be made on offense, but i think this game is a DEFINITE confidence booster.

    GEAUX TIGERS!

I like that they put Sheppard in with Holliday on the option... the defense couldn't key on Holliday. I think that is the play that Sheppard had that breakout. Holliday and Sheppard should be in at the same time if you are going to run. IMO

Stats are showing we're undefeated though.

You're not happy with JJ. Noted. Now move on to another subject. I don't want to read this crap all week.

Stats showed we were 4-0 last year, so, it was not a representing of the team and it showed later.

I said I have seen no improvement and some regression. As far as moving on, you are in a thread talking about putting Lee back in, you know?

I for one think it's JJ's team through the Florida game then you evaluate.

Was Jamarcus ever 5-0? Nnnnnnno. JJ needs to work on getting rid of the ball faster. That's obvious. But he didn't have the best blocking today either (see guys on our O-line dropping like flies and throwing up). Yes, he needs to learn to run the option. No doubt.

However, no pickies numero sixies...and most of his passes were very accurate. That's the main thing...other than winning.

He had more than just a good last drive too. He only had 3 incompletions at half. He had the pick in the end zone, but even with that, he outplayed the other QB by a mile in the first half.

By the way, is there ever really a good time to take a sack? Trust me, those frustrated me too. But it ain't easy on the road in the SEC.

I think you proved my point.

I thought the OL did good tonight in pass protection, the guys were coming around the end and meeting up with JJ at about 10-12 yards... JJ was not moving up in the pocket a few yards.

Watch Brees tomorrow move up in the pocket. He just needs to improve on that.

He killed all the drives in my opinion in the first half, but I not going to argue about this... I saw the game. Thats just my opinion on it.

    I agree with that.

In the end, I think the same thing about JJ that I thought about him back in July/August. Has a strong arm, sometimes in accurate, some quickness with his feet but not super quick.

To me his team through the Florida game then you evaluate.
