LSU was outgained by a nearly 3 to 1 ratio. The offense had a whopping six first downs. 33 rushing yards. Time of possession way in Bama's favor.

Allow me to provide my conspiracy theory for the 215th time dating back to even when Bryant was at Bama: The Gumps are perceived as the conference’s cash cow. Year in and year out they are deemed as the team with most potential to reach the national championship . Those games are big money.
As a result Bama opponents need to beat A) the team wearing red, no small task and B) the zebras which is damn near impossible . LSU has been getting fist fucked by the stripes vs Bama for generations. When it was vs the Bear it was because he was considered Jesus. Now bailing Bama out in tough games is simply a good investment for conference.
The fact that it is so evident that the conference is the Gump’s playground (i e why you think LSU is fucked into having to play UF as regular East opponent? cuz Bama wants us having that disadvantage) I find myself, particularly after the first weekend in November, wishing LSU told the SEC ‘Fuck you. We’re leaving the conference.’

 

Heard this story before. Saban out coached but somehow seems to win. Yeah, ok. Did you know Tim Williams said that Alabama's defense knew exactly what play LSU was going to run at the line of scrimmage last year? He even made jokes about it. Last year Dave Aranda's defense played out of their minds. Yes there were a bunch of shitty calls. The fumble, the multiple holds on Hurts touchdown. I was there, I saw it all, and it sucked. But LSU's offense was an absolute trainwreck last year in this game. Unimaginative, predictable, and just flat out bad. Danny looked like a roach when the light comes on.

Canada will use smoke and mirrors, and I'm interested to see how this plays out, but damn Ponamsky, your propaganda is a little out there.

 

Canada will either show he is worth the money, or be on the hot seat for next season. Aranda will not allow a offense that can't throw beat his defense. I fail to believe we will have the same offense we had last year. And yes we deserved the win last year. Saban got outcoached by Ed. The OC may not have had his way with the DC, but Ed had a gameplan that had Bama beat and the refs had to save Nick. I don't think even the refs can save Alabama this year.
