It's not about magic, it's about coaching and LSU finally has the advantage

When the man is your Head Coach and you are still hung up on how he got the job you have some issues with the man if it isn't a hatred of him what is it? Why not just support the kids this year instead of keeping up the same old tired story of how you think the man didn't earn the job.

 

i know your post wasn’t aimed at me, but that’s why i gave a list.

and honestly, that list was just off the top of my head (remembering names from when i started looking into it at the end of 2015).

what i don’t like is being told i hate O just because i like others more.

for example, i like Bean burritos from Taco Bell, but because i’d much prefer boiled crawfish doesn’t mean i hate Taco Bell.

 

Dean had already made 3 bad football hires. His only accomplishment (other than saving money) was hiring John Brady who was at least passable and did make a Final Four. Alleva had never hired a football coach so I suppose hiring 2 bad basketball coaches won't get you fired at LSU. We are not Kentucky. He might have hired decent softball or gymnastics coaches but who really cares other than tiga?

 

Most of us did. Hindsight is 20/20. Miles needed to go, and was let go, by the time the 2 frontrunners (Jimbo, and Herman) were not becoming available. So, for those saying you don't replace Miles w/Oeaux, that is true in theory, but the timing of it all led to Oeaux's hire. I personally agree with Alleva dropping the ball on the search. He seemed to be in too much of a rush, and just said F-it, if Jimbo and Herman are playing us, let's drop them and go with Oeaux. But, whether I like that or not, is not the issue. The issue at this moment in time is that Oeaux is our coach and I support him 100%, and hope he wins out, including this week. Do I expect it, no. But, am I optimistic and think we have a meaningful chance, absolutely. I think Six Pack has actually done a good job pointing out ALA flaws, while everyone else on here continues to be focused on and wrestling with Oeaux's hiring, and him still being our coach. I've moved on from that. If he doesn't work out, he doesn't work out. At least we're not FLA w/a HC revolving door.

 

When the man is leading your team in it's season is in full swing and you are running him down for not earning his job, it isn't love. At the least it is a character attack on O. If not hate. Grow a thicker skin, it is a message board.

 

I don't really hate Taco Hell but I cant think of anything from there I like.

 

i do support the team.
still geaux to games, still wear LSU gear, etc.

and believe it or not, there is a pretty large gap between preferring someone else and hating.

 

Can we get off this topic and discuss whipping Alabama's candy cane asses then?

 

i have never once even mentioned his character, let alone attacked it.
in fact, i only discussed actually set in stone facts about him and other candidates.

not opinions, actual facts on their actual resumes.
i even removed and ignored the worst parts of his resume (and only even mentioned Ole Miss someone other than me even brought it up).

and as far as thick skin, i think maybe you’re the one who needs it.
because you seem to be really disturbed that anyone has the audacity to disagree with your opinion. on a message board of all places.

i’m quite capable of having an intelligent discussion with someone who disagrees with me without having to resort to just blowing him off as a “hater”.

i have absolutely no problem with you (or anyone else) disagreeing with me. i actually enjoy debates and discussion. you on the other hand seem to rather just blindly label people and quit.

 

so in a topic about “coaching advantages” you want to discuss something other than “coaching”?
